The Elizabeth Minutemen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took down Kennedy 68-53.
Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from My'Shayla Clancy, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The contest was Clancy's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Perla Reyes, who scored 18 points.
Elizabeth now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Kennedy, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Elizabeth will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Teaneck at 12:00 p.m. on January 20, 2024. Kennedy will finish 2023 at home by hosting Linden at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
