Wayland has been on a difficult stretch since their win on October 7. They lost 3-0 to the Newton South Lions on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Wayland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Newton South are ranked sixth).

Wayland's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-4. As for Newton South, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2-3.

Coming up, Wayland will take on Ashland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashland's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Newton South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
