Katie Osborn made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Laura Osborn was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marisa Rhee, who scored three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
