The Maconaquah Braves lost to the Logansport Berries back in December of 2022, but the Maconaquah Braves didn't allow the Logansport Berries the same satisfaction on Saturday. Maconaquah strolled past Logansport with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Maconaquah.
Maconaquah was led to victory by Miranda Stoll and Bailey Carson. Stoll dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Carson scored 17 points. Carson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ireland Kile, who scored nine points.
Several Berries players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kellyn Cripe, who scored 13 points. Cripe scored a full 34.2% of Logansport's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lydia Goad was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Maconaquah has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Logansport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.
Maconaquah will be home for the holidays to greet Mississinewa at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Mississinewa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. As for Logansport, they will head out on the road to face off against Peru at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Peru is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
