The Fort Worth Christian Cardinals will look to defend their home field on Friday against the All S Saints at 7:00 p.m. Fort Worth Christian is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Fort Worth Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 27-21 to Southwest Christian School.
Fort Worth Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Luke Dodd, who threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns, and Kade Kropholler who picked up 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, All S had to suffer through a rough 42-13 loss at the hands of Liberty Christian. While losing is never fun, All S can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while Liberty Christian is ranked 29th).
Although All S took the loss, they still got scores from Qumonte Williams and Kelden Ryan.
Even if they lost, All S's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Liberty Christian's QB was sacked 4.5 times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Hunter Tatarerich and his two sacks.
Fort Worth Christian's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Liberty Christian and 9-1 Dallas Christian (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75.3% over those games). As for All S, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Fort Worth Christian has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 351.6 total yards per game. However, it's not like All S struggles in that department as they've been even better at 400 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Fort Worth Christian took a serious blow against All S in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 35-8. Will Fort Worth Christian have more luck at home instead of on the road?
