After a string of three wins, Lake's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 28-19 to Oak Harbor. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake has scored all season.
Genoa Area posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 62-25 victory over Otsego at home. Given Genoa Area's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Otsego is ranked 752nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lake's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Genoa Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
