The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears will challenge the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Crockett with a sharp 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Nikki Jo Hernandez looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Arianna Lugo was incredible, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Arieanna Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Uvalde, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over Incarnate Word on Friday.
KYLA SANCHEZ made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. SANCHEZ was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on MARCELY CANTU, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. SIENNA MIRELEZ was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Uvalde has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's record is now 10-1.
