Niceville is 9-1 against Choctawhatchee since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Niceville Eagles will host the Choctawhatchee Indians at 7:00 p.m. Niceville is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Niceville proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Mosley 8-7.

Niceville got a great performance from Brady Martin as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Martin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Nicholas Gates was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Yahir Burgos, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Choctawhatchee got the win against Booker T. Washington on Tuesday by a conclusive 8-2. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.
Carson Appleton tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has become a key player for Choctawhatchee: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aaron Rowell, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Choctawhatchee is undefeated when Rowell posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gant Folendore, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Choctawhatchee has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. Niceville pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Niceville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. However, it's not like Choctawhatchee struggles in that department as they've averaged .453. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Niceville took their victory against Choctawhatchee in their previous meeting last Tuesday by a conclusive 15-3. Does Niceville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Choctawhatchee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
