Video: Athan Kaliakmanis Highlights
Watch the Minnesota commit in action as a junior. Pulling Top 50 prospects out of Illinois is becoming routine for the University of Iowa. The Hawkeyes have secured the Land of Lincoln's top 2021 prospect and three of the state's top players. Last year, Iowa claimed five Land of Lincoln's top 21 prospects.
This year's current leader in commitments from Illinois' Top 50 prospects is the University of Minnesota. The Golden Gophers have pledges from five players, including three of the Top 12.
Northern Illinois (four commits) and Boston College (three) also rank among the leaders.
The state's top position is the offensive line (15 prospects). Other positions of note include linebackers (seven), defensive backs (six), wide receivers (five) and tight ends (five).
