Softball Recap: Brantley Wins Going Away Against Elba

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brantley walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Elba Tigers on Monday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Brantley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Elba, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-19.

Looking ahead, Brantley will challenge Red Level at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Elba does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
