The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tolar, who took down 471st ranked Mildred, 49-0. Corbin Wood threw for 178 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 91 yards in the win.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A-2 Region II District 6 this week, Scurry-Rosser beat Blooming Grove 54-21. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
He was 10-18 with 1 interception.
Russell Holden was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 166 yards on 12 carries as the Eagles defeated Rio Vista. Teammate Mikey Muncy added to the ground attack by rushing for 19 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Wood of the Rattlers is the league leader in passing yards this season with 839. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Holden. The Mildred star has 17 catches for 378 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Tolar takes on the Lions. At the moment, Mike Franklin's team is in second, while Blooming Grove is in fourth.
The Rattlers scaled the state rankings by moving to 447 from 590 this week, the biggest jump in 2A-2 Region II District 6. Tolar was able to move up by besting Mildred 49-0.
