The Wylie East Raiders will head out to face off against the Sachse Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Wylie East took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let North Garland get on the board and left with a 19-0 win. Wylie East hasn't had any issues with North Garland recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

KP Walters made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. In other batting news, Isabella Flores was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 14 games. Gabby Flores also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Wylie East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Sachse came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 15-0 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.
Logan Schultz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Schultz was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Maya Mcclarity was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Xochitl Mendoza was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Sachse's record is now 8-6. As for Wylie East, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wylie East hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Sachse struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wylie East couldn't quite finish off Sachse in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can Wylie East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
