The Pensacola Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 58-43 fall against Milton. While losing is never fun, Pensacola can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while Milton is ranked 121st).
Pensacola's loss came despite strong showings from Zac Clarke and Nick Jones. Clarke scored 15 points along with three steals, while Jones scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Steele, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Pensacola dropped their record down to 8-12 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Milton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Booker T. Washington the next time they take the court. Milton will head out to face Booker T. Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Pensacola will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
