Lytle is a perfect 10-0 against Natalia since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Lytle will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
Natalia's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Lytle hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Pirates never let Crystal City get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Pirates have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Devin Cordova made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Toby Davila was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Weston Jackson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs.
Lytle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crystal City only posted an OBP of .143.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Natalia was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 19-2 to Hondo.
Leo Buentello made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Natalia's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Lytle, their win bumped their record up to 22-6-1.
Natalia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lytle hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. It's a different story for Natalia, though, as they've only averaged .243. Will they be able to contain Lytle's hitters?
Lytle got the 'W' in their previous meeting on April 2nd against Natalia by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
