The Jordan-Matthews Jets will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 6:00  p.m.
 Last Friday, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Jordan-Matthews had to settle for  a  5-4 defeat against Seaforth. Jordan-Matthews has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Kelton Fuquay put in work no matter where he played. He  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Fuquay was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Jake Bowden was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.  Ian McMillan was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Southeast Alamance came tearing into  Wednesday's  contest with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with  an  11-1 win.
 Jordan-Matthews' loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Southeast Alamance, their victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 8-14.
 Jordan-Matthews was able to grind out a solid  win over Southeast Alamance in their previous matchup  back in March, winning  7-4. Does  Jordan-Matthews have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southeast Alamance turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
