The Mapletown Maples lost against the West Greene Pioneers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The match between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Mapletown falling 54-39. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Greene to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Burns, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Allison, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Mapletown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for West Greene, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mapletown's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hundred at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for West Greene, they will take on Monessen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Monessen comes in on nine and West Greene on three.
