The Culver City Centaurs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 76-67 victory over Murrieta Valley. The win made it back-to-back wins for Culver City.
Several Nighthawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Steffen, who scored 24 points. The match was Steffen's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brady Jones, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Culver City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Murrieta Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Culver City is on the road again on Friday and play against Oakwood at 6:30 p.m. on December 29th. Oakwood is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. Murrieta Valley will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against JW North at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. JW North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Murrieta Valley likes a good challenge.
