The Manchester Greyhounds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Green. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Manchester of the 58-51 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2019.
It was another big night for Abbie Knapp, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 16 rebounds for Green. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Knapp has scored at least a third of Green's points. Another player making a difference was Matti Hayslip, who scored ten points.
Manchester dropped their record down to 4-17 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Green, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Blue Jays at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. As for Green, they will face off against the Mohawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwest will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
