Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Pinnacle). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Monument Valley Cougars 73-37. The  contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  44-16.
Pinnacle's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Joey Howell, who  went 9 for 17  en route to 22 points and five  rebounds. Howell is trending in the right direction considering he's  improved his point production for three straight games.  Diego Contreras was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on ten  points and 12  boards.

 Pinnacle  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 18  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.
 Monument Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Brice Good Shield, who  posted 13 points and six  rebounds. That was a full 35.1% of Monument Valley's points, marking the third time in a row he's   earned  more than a third of the team's points.  Jared Garcia also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  points of the season.
Pinnacle's win  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-13. As for Monument Valley,  they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-13.
 Pinnacle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  76-60  loss against Whitehorse on the 30th. As for Monument Valley, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  114-29  defeat against Green River on the 25th.
