Having just played yesterday, the Taylor Allderdice Dragons will jump right back in to play the Hampton Talbots at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Taylor Allderdice comes in on six and Hampton on three.
Taylor Allderdice stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 72-31 victory over Carrick. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-21.
It was another big night for Logan Golle, who scored 24 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Azerick Jetter, who scored 15 points.
Taylor Allderdice's lineup was just a bit different on Friday as Sky Reeves got a bit more time on the court (20 vs. his season average of 8.53). Reeves made the most of the opportunity, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Meanwhile, Hampton was able to grind out a solid victory over Knoch on Tuesday, taking the game 56-48. Given Hampton's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Knoch is ranked 148th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Taylor Allderdice has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Hampton, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
Everything came up roses for Taylor Allderdice against Hampton in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 as the squad secured a 74-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor Allderdice since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
