The Central Blue Devils lost against the East Orange Campus Jaguars back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The New Year welcomed Central with a 59-29 whooping from East Orange Campus. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Central has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Michael Anderson, who scored 11 points. Anderson scored a full 37.9% of Central's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Thomas, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for East Orange Campus, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will take on Bloomfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Orange Campus, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Payne Tech at 1:00 p.m. One thing working in Payne Tech's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
