Big Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bethel Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Leading Bethel Christian to victory were Rad Schenkenberger and Braden Johnson. Schenkenberger dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Johnson scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least a third of Bethel Christian's points. Abraham Mast was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Big Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Bethel Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-8 record this season.
Big Valley will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Butte Valley at 2:00 p.m. As for Bethel Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Hayfork at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hayfork is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
