There's no place like home for the Middlesex Bluejays, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Metuchen by a score of 57-46 on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for Middlesex, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Metuchen saw an underclassman step up: Cameron Hayes-durina scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Leighton Emslie was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Middlesex has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Metuchen, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Middlesex will head out on the road to face off against Spotswood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Spotswood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Middlesex likes a good challenge. As for Metuchen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Jersey College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
