Eastern Hancock hasn't had much luck against Heritage Christian recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Royals will challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eastern Hancock comes in on three and Heritage Christian on four.
Eastern Hancock is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since May 12th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Cambridge City Lincoln 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Caleb Retherford, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. He has become a key player for Eastern Hancock: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-14-1 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Heritage Christian made easy work of Greenwood Christian Academy on Saturday and carried off a 12-5 victory. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Will Ambrose was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Eli Strege was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Jackson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Heritage Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenwood Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .200.
Heritage Christian pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Eastern Hancock, their record is now 9-14-1.
Eastern Hancock suffered a grim 15-2 defeat to Heritage Christian when the teams last played on May 10th. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
