You can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Tri-Valley Bulldogs's strategy against the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Tri-Valley blew Shenandoah Valley out of the water with a 71-30 final score. With Tri-Valley ahead 44-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Tri-Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trey Porter led the charge by scoring 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Porter has scored all season. Dawsyn Manning was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Tri-Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 17-4 record this season. As for Shenandoah Valley, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
Tri-Valley will head out on the road to challenge Marian Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Marian Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. Shenandoah Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
