It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Pine Forest Trojans ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Overhills with a 51-45 win. The win was just what Pine Forest needed coming off of a 79-33 loss in their prior game.
Pine Forest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nehemiah Mcdonald out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Mcdonald is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristan Lyons, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Pine Forest's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Overhills, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-7.
Pine Forest will take on Purnell Swett at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Overhills, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Oak Ridge Military Academy at 7:00 p.m.
