The Miami East Vikings put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Northridge with a sharp 51-27 victory. Miami East has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 24 points or more this season.
Miami East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maryn Gross out in front who scored 13 points. Mckayah Musselman was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Miami East pushed their record up to 14-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Northridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Miami East will head out on the road to face off against Lehman Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northridge, they will be playing at home against Oakwood at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Oakwood is ranked 319th, while Northridge is ranked 307th).
