Yuma Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Odyssey Institute on Tuesday as Yuma Catholic made off with an 18-0 win. Considering the Shamrocks have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cherish Trujillo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kodi Leigh, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Neriah Sakay, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Yuma Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Tonopah Valley never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Parker on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncs, sneaking past 13-12. Like Yuma Catholic, Tonopah Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Morgan Green. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Green was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
In other batting news, Ellie Procunier was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Mackenzie Eaton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Yuma Catholic pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games.
