Geneva (Ill.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 29-27 victory over
Oswego (Ill.) on Saturday. The Vikings took the lead for good when they threw a touchdown.
The Vikings led 24-12 at halftime, but the Panthers recaptured the lead on a touchdown run by
Tyler Walsh with 5:00 to go in the fourth. Geneva finally took the lead for the win when they threw a touchdown with 4:00 left in the fourth quarter.
GHS saw its 12-point halftime lead fall to five entering the fourth.
The final outcome was shocking, as the Vikings was ranked No. 243 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Illinois, far below Oswego's spot at No. 39.
