The Centennial Hawks lost against the Las Cruces Bulldawgs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Centennial took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Las Cruces. Centennial has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tracen Huntsman, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Huntsman posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Rewalt, who scored 19 points.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Las Cruces, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-48 loss vs. Alamogordo on the 9th. Las Cruces has also already played their next contest, a 73-46 victory against Mayfield on the 9th.
