Basketball Recap: Drew Tibbins Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win

Linville Hill's tournament run continued when they took on Lancaster Catholic on Friday. The Warriors snuck past the Crusaders with a 67-63 victory.

Linville Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Tibbins out in front who shot 47% from the field en route to 24 points and eight steals. Tibbins has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah King, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Linville Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

The victory got Linville Hill back to even at 1-1. As for Lancaster Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Linville Hill will head out to challenge Lancaster County Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lancaster Catholic, they will challenge York Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
