The Connersville Spartans were the 49-28 winner over the Richmond Red Devils when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Connersville took a hard 60-44 fall against Richmond on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Connersville still got an impressive performance from Hailey Sembach, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds. Sembach has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ahniyah Bennett, who scored 11 points.
Connersville's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 10-8. As for Richmond, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Connersville will head out on the road to face off against Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Franklin County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Richmond, they will be playing at home against Tri at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tri will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
