Clay has won three straight games at home, while Escambia has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Gators at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Clay 3.2, Escambia 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Clay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bishop Kenny as they made off with a 9-1 win. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Gabriel Barker looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, JC Rosette was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Merrick Rapoza, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Clay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Kenny only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, Escambia narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Wakulla 4-2.
Carter Mills looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Taivyn Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Clay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Escambia, their victory bumped their record up to 23-5.
Everything went Clay's way against Escambia in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Clay made off with an 11-5 win. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
