The Hayes Pacers are taking a road trip to face off against the Westerville North Warriors at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Hayes will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
Hayes barely beat Big Walnut the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pacers blew past the Golden Eagles 9-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Pacers, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Bronwynn Leighty made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run. She also put up a run, which was her first of the season.

Hayes was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Big Walnut only posted a batting average of .083.
Westerville North had taken Dublin Scioto down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Warriors lost 13-3 to the Irish.
Emma Polovick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Hayes pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Westerville North, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hayes has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. However, it's not like Westerville North struggles in that department as they've averaged .471. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hayes took their win against Westerville North in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
