The Slidell Tigers can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They breezed by Covington on the road to the tune of 84-49. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Slidell had established a 23 point advantage.
Slidell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Parlow, who scored 25 points along with three steals. Parlow continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Hookfin, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Slidell's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-8. As for Covington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Slidell will take on the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pine is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Covington, they will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
