Ledyard is 2-7 against Fitch since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fitch will be up against a hot Ledyard squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Colonels blew past Stonington, posting a 63-24 victory. The Colonels' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jackson Favry had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 243 yards and three TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 243 rushing yards. Another back making a difference was Jackson Grimm, who rushed for 80 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ledyard was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 442 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 155 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Fitch got themselves on the board against New London last Saturday, but New London never followed suit. They really took it to the Whalers for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-0 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Falcons had established a 37-point advantage.
Ledyard better keep an eye on Camrin Lee-Fry. He was instrumental in Fitch's win, picking up 55 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those two receiving touchdowns gave Lee-Fry a new career-high.
Fitch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Lee-Fry.
Ledyard's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Fitch, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. Ledyard has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 359.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Fitch struggles in that department as they've been averaging 165.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Ledyard didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fitch in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win. Will the Colonels repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
