After a string of three wins, the Front Range Baptist Falcons's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 68-57 to Loveland Classical. The contest was a 33-33 toss-up at halftime, but Front Range Baptist was outscored by Loveland Classical in the second.
Despite the loss, Front Range Baptist still got an impressive performance from Alex Prelog, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Prelog hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Sutton, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Front Range Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Loveland Classical, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Front Range Baptist and Denver Waldorf will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Denver Waldorf is ranked 142nd, while Front Range Baptist is ranked 138th). Loveland Classical won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Twin Peaks Charter Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully Twin Peaks Charter Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
