Volleyball Recap: Pacific Ridge's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Pacific Ridge can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the San Marcos Knights 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Firebirds have posted since March 20th.

Pacific Ridge wouldn't go down easily and took San Marcos into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13, 19-25, 16-25, 15-9.

Pacific Ridge had a senior duo take command as Jake Streitman had 19 digs and one block and Camden Martin had 11 digs. Streitman is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 15 games he's played.

Pacific Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 17-18. As for San Marcos, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-11.

Pacific Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Marcos, they will head out on the road to square off against Escondido at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
