The Catskill Cats lost against the Hudson Blue Hawks back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Catskill fell to the Blue Hawks 35-31. Catskill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hudson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malia Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 28 rebounds. Jackson is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriah Walker, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Catskill has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Hudson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.
Catskill will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mekeel Christian Academy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for Hudson, they will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
