The Mater Dei Knights won the last time they faced the Okawville Rockets, and things went their way  on Wednesday too. Mater Dei strolled past the Rockets with  points to spare, taking the game  55-40. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Mater Dei.
  Alyssa Koerkenmeier was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 27 points and ten  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  she has scored all season.  Avery Trame was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points.
 Okawville's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Alayna Kraus, who  scored 12 points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals, and  Madisyn Wienstroer who  scored 11 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals. Wienstroer has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last three times she's  played.
 Mater Dei pushed their record up to 21-6 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Okawville, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.
 Mater Dei will head out on the road to  square off against  the Lancers at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Belleville East will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Knights are ranked 22nd). As for Okawville, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 12:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Sparta is coming into the  match on a three-game losing streak.
