Gibbs is 8-2 against the Falcons since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Gibbs Gladiators will take on the Dunedin Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Gibbs is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Monday, things could have been worse for Gibbs, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-38 loss to the Crusaders. While losing is never fun, Gibbs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Crusaders are ranked 20th).
Meanwhile, Dunedin scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Sports Leadership & Management 64-25 at home. The win was just what Dunedin needed coming off of a 79-51 defeat in their prior contest.
Gibbs' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Dunedin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-15.
Everything came up roses for Gibbs against the Falcons in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 89-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gibbs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
