Volleyball Recap: Academy for Innovative Education Has No Trouble Against Edison Private

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Downtown Doral, Academy for Innovative Education was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Edison Private Eagles 3-0. The Aviators haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Academy for Innovative Education won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.

Jordan Miranda paced Academy for Innovative Education's offense, picking up 15 kills. Miranda got some help from Brianna Rodriguez and her 15 assists. Finally, Rodriguez was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Academy for Innovative Education's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Edison Private, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 5-14.

Coming up, Academy for Innovative Education will square off against Divine Savior Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edison Private, they will face off against Horeb Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
