The Hickory Red Tornadoes put another one in the bag  on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a  86-65 margin over Statesville. Hickory has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine  contests by 21  points or more this season.
 Hickory's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  John Holbrook led the charge by  scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was  Izaiah Littlejohn, who  scored 17 points.
 Hickory's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-0. As for Statesville, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory will take on North Iredell at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. North Iredell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 821 points over their last 12 matchups. Statesville won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against West Iredell at 7:30  p.m.  on January 24th. West Iredell will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 594th, while Statesville is ranked 243rd).
