While Wickenburg put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Mohave Accelerated. The Wranglers were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Patriots. Considering the Wranglers have won eight contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaxson Hone was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wickenburg is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-8 otherwise. Hone was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Newman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Hector Samano also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
