Union Colony Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josiah Rodriguez led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tanner Sarchet, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Nederland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rick Fortunato, who scored ten points. Gavin Dillon was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Union Colony Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-8 record this season. As for Nederland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Union Colony Prep will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bishop Machebeuf at 6:30 p.m. Bishop Machebeuf is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Nederland, they will challenge Poudre Community Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Poudre Community Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 last Monday.
