Deming extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 3 this week by beating Chaparral, 47-7. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Wildcats.
Santa Teresa lost to Centennial 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Deming's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. David Padron has thrown for 427 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Jerome Sandoval has 22 catches for 434 yards.
The Desert Warriors are currently in third, while Deming is in first.
The league will see a high scoring game when Santa Teresa and Fernie Holguin's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Shae Vierra's team comes in having scored 96 this season, while the Wildcats have scored 266. The Desert Warriors scored 0 points last week as they lost to the Hawks.
Centennial made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,597 from 3,852. The improvement was largely due to a 42-0 victory over Santa Teresa last week.
