If MTI School of Knowledge were riding high off their 65-42 takedown of the Union Rockets last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. MTI School of Knowledge was dealt a 69-21 defeat at the hands of Phalen Leadership Academy on Thursday. MTI School of Knowledge has not had much luck with Phalen Leadership Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Phalen Leadership Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derek Callahan , who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Callahan hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Murry , who scored 14 points.
MTI School of Knowledge now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MTI School of Knowledge will square off against GEO Next Generation at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowman Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bowman Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.7 points per game.
