The Antonian Prep Apaches will head out to face off against the MacArthur Brahmas at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Antonian Prep will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Antonian Prep's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Bandera 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Apaches, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ale Santoyo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
In other pitching news, Victoria Gass looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Isabella Garza, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee De La Garza, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Antonian Prep hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bandera struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, MacArthur came up short against South San Antonio on Wednesday, falling 17-2. The Brahmas haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
MacArthur saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Silva, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Silva has hit this season.
Antonian Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for MacArthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Antonian Prep hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like MacArthur struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Antonian Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against MacArthur in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Apaches since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
