Softball Recap: Seaford Has No Trouble Against Sts. Peter & Paul

Seaford not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 22-7). They put the hurt on the Sts. Peter & Paul Sabres with a sharp 15-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-7 back in April.

Autumn Austin made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Austin was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Seaford got a massive performance out of Shea Cooper, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Jordyn Evans was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Seaford is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Sts. Peter & Paul, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Seaford will be playing in front of their home fans against Delmarva Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Sts. Peter & Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
