If the Zephyrhills Bulldogs were feeling good off their 72-49 takedown of the Cypress Creek Coyotes on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Zephyrhills fell to Land O' Lakes 48-44. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Zephyrhills has scored all season.
Land O' Lakes can attribute much of their success to Noah Mathan, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Nash Patapoff was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Zephyrhills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Land O' Lakes, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Zephyrhills is on the road again on Tuesday and play against South Sumter at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Land O' Lakes, they will challenge Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Land O' Lakes in Florida (Central is ranked 58th, while Land O' Lakes is ranked 562nd).
